What you'll do:
As a Deputy General Manager in Corporate Finance and Treasury, your role will be pivotal in managing the financial health of the company. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of group cash flow, optimizing investments, negotiating foreign exchange rates with banks, assisting in fundraising exercises, monitoring payments, managing the group's loan portfolio, and analyzing the financial performance of group companies. Your insights will play a crucial role in strategic decision-making.
* Oversee and monitor all aspects of Group cash flow to ensure liquidity and meet financial requirements.
* Optimize the investment of surplus cash in high-yield deposits and money market instruments.
* Negotiate FX rates with banks and ensure proper documentation.
* Assist in sourcing and executing fundraising exercises, including preparing relevant documentation.
* Monitor principal and interest payments to ensure timely settlements.
* Manage and review the Group’s loan portfolio, including existing loan and trade accounts.
* Analyze and assess the financial performance of Group companies, providing insights for strategic decision-making.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Deputy General Manager position will bring a wealth of knowledge in corporate finance and treasury. You should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or a related field and have at least six years of relevant experience. Your strong knowledge of risk management and hedging techniques will be essential in this role. Experience with cash management systems is required along with familiarity with regulatory frameworks. Your strong analytical skills coupled with business acumen will set you apart.
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
* Minimum six years of relevant experience preferably in a financial institution or large corporation.
* Strong knowledge of risk management and hedging techniques.
* Hands-on experience with cash management systems.
* Familiarity with regulatory frameworks including guidelines from Bank Negara Malaysia, Bursa Malaysia, the Securities Commission (SC), the Foreign Investment Committee (FIC), the Companies Act, and the Companies Commission of Malaysia.
* Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
