Our client is seeking a seasoned General Manager for Corporate Planning. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive the Group’s corporate exercises and funding, including IPOs, mergers & acquisitions, fundraising via capital markets, and structured finance. The successful candidate will be instrumental in developing financial models for forecasting and project analysis, as well as providing senior management with concise reporting and insightful analysis.

What you'll do:
As a General Manager in Corporate Planning, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the organisation. You will be responsible for driving the Group's corporate exercises and funding initiatives, which include IPOs, mergers & acquisitions, fundraising via capital markets, and structured finance. Your expertise in developing financial models for forecasting and project analysis will be crucial in supporting senior management decisions. Additionally, your role will involve participating in financial analysis to develop potential new investments, ventures, and business relationships.
- Drive the Group’s corporate exercises and funding comprising IPO, merger & acquisition, fundraising via the capital market and structured finance
- Develop financial models for forecasting and project analysis including feasibility study and valuation modelling
- Analysis and presentation of data related to strategy execution to support Senior Management and Board decision-making
- Participate in financial analysis, developing potential new investments, ventures and business relationships
- Provide senior management with concise reporting and insightful analysis
- Evaluation of business ideas/investments
- Competitors' analysis and benchmarking
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this General Manager - Corporate Planning position brings a wealth of experience in corporate planning, corporate finance or investor relations management. With a minimum of 10 years' relevant experience under your belt, you have honed strong analytical skills and are proficient at building complex financial models for forecasting, valuations, and budgeting. Your deep understanding of capital markets and corporate finance enables you to provide expert advice on funding strategies. Furthermore, your sound knowledge of the regulatory requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and the Securities Commission ensures compliance with all necessary regulations.
- A Bachelor's Degree/Professional Qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in Corporate Planning, Corporate Finance and/or Investor Relations Management
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills: Proficiency in building complex financial models for forecasting, valuations, and budgeting
- In-depth knowledge of capital markets and corporate finance: Expertise in funding, capital structure, and investment strategies
- Sound knowledge and well-versed in the regulatory requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad and the Securities Commission
