An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven individual to join a rapidly expanding Japanese management consulting firm. This role offers the chance to work closely with top-level management, gain hands-on experience in the M&A process, and learn about various industries

As a Mergers and Acquisitions Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in the company's expansion in South East Asia. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting detailed research and analysis, sourcing deals, supporting proposal preparation, and creating engaging client presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis of relevant sectors and mapping of players
  • Source deals from local mid-market companies and startups
  • Support the preparation of proposals articulating the deals and value proposition
  • Read financial statements and conduct financial and business analysis
  • Conduct market comparison analysis
  • Create presentation materials for clients

The ideal candidate for this Mergers and Acquisitions Consultant role will bring a wealth of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, and research. You should be comfortable reading financial statements, conducting market comparison analyses, and creating compelling client presentations.

Key Requirements:

  • 2-4 years work experience with relevant degree and related experience
  • Experience in research and analysis in the field of M&A or related fields is advantageous but not critical
  • Knowledge of Speeda, Capital IQ and similar research databases preferred
  • Some level of Japanese proficiency is an advantage but not critical
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Basic accounting/finance knowledge
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Point and Microsoft Excel
