What you'll do:
As the Head of Treasury for our client's diverse conglomerate, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the company. Your strategic thinking will be key in developing treasury strategies that align with the company's business goals. You will lead capital raising initiatives and optimize cash positions through effective cash flow forecasting. Your leadership skills will be instrumental in coaching the treasury team to continuously improve their capabilities. Additionally, your expertise will be required in supporting corporate exercises such as mergers and acquisitions.
* Develop and execute treasury strategies aligned with the company's business goals and risk tolerance.
* Lead capital raising initiatives, including banking negotiations for commercial loans and credit facilities.
* Optimize cash positions and liquidity through cash flow forecasting, planning, and cash management.
* Oversee foreign currency transaction and translation risk management.
* Ensure compliance with banking regulations, exchange control policies, and accounting standards.
* Coach and lead the treasury team to continuously improve capabilities.
* Support corporate exercises like mergers, acquisitions, and fundraising activities.
* Participate in quarterly board meetings and prepare investor presentations.
* Liaise with external stakeholders, including bankers, auditors, regulators, and tax authorities.
What you bring:
As the ideal candidate for the Head of Treasury position, you bring a wealth of experience in finance or accounting along with a professional qualification like ACMA/CGMA. Your more than 10 years of relevant experience includes treasury leadership roles where you've reported directly to Boards. You have proven abilities in financial reporting, cash flow analysis, budgeting and forecasting. Your knowledge of banking and finance regulations ensures compliance across all operations. Your excellent analytical skills coupled with your leadership qualities make you a valuable asset to the team.
* Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or professional qualification like ACMA/CGMA
* More than 10 years of relevant experience including treasury leadership and reporting to Boards
* Proven ability in financial reporting, cash flow analysis, budgeting and forecasting
* Knowledge of banking and finance regulations and compliance
* Demonstrated success in banking negotiations and capital management
* Excellent analytical skills and leadership qualities
* Strategic thinking aligned with business goals
