An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Merger & Acquisition Manager (M&A) to join a global leader in material solutions. This role is perfect for those who thrive in a dynamic environment, working on strategic inorganic growth opportunities. The successful candidate will be part of a small and agile team, responsible for all buy-side and sell-side M&A activities across the organisation. This includes everything from initial target analyses to deal closing and transition to integration.

What you'll do:

As a Merger & Acquisition Manager (M&A), your role will be pivotal in driving the strategic growth of the organisation through mergers and acquisitions. You will lead the entire M&A lifecycle process, performing comprehensive analyses of potential targets and developing financial models for valuation. Your ability to coordinate due diligence processes and support deal negotiations will be crucial in this role. Furthermore, you will ensure a smooth transition post-deal closing and contribute towards establishing best-practice M&A processes.

  • Lead the M&A lifecycle process from preliminary target analysis to deal closing and transition to integration.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of M&A target business, financial statement, company fundamentals, market potential, technology, business model, competitor landscape and strategic fit.
  • Identify synergies and develop the financial model to determine valuation and price proposal.
  • Coordinate the due diligence process across functional workstreams to identify key risks.
  • Support the deal negotiation, signing and closing process.
  • Ensure smooth transition to the business / integration team after deal closing.
  • Contribute to establishing a best-practice M&A lifecycle process.
  • Collaborate on M&A projects with cross-functional teams.

What you bring:

The ideal Merger & Acquisition Manager (M&A) will bring a wealth of experience in M&A, corporate finance or investment banking. Your strong analytical thinking capabilities coupled with extensive modelling & valuation skills will enable you to excel in this role. A demonstrated problem-solving ability and results-oriented mindset are key to success. Your interpersonal skills will shine through your constructive, inclusive and respectful attitude towards team members. Proficiency in both verbal & written English is required.

  • 5-10 years' experience in M&A, corporate finance, investment banking or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience in M&A is essential.
  • Strong analytical thinking capabilities.
  • Extensive modelling & valuation skills.
  • Problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Constructive, inclusive and respectful attitude towards team members.
  • Ability to drive teams in a high-paced environment.
  • Full professional proficiency in both verbal & written English.
