Our client is seeking a Corporate Finance Manager to join their dynamic team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a multi-sector international group that is embarking on the development of a mega project in Malaysia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of various strategic initiatives, particularly in corporate development, corporate finance, and investment.

What you'll do:
As a Corporate Finance Manager, your role will be pivotal in driving the company's strategic initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Group CFO, contributing significantly to corporate development and finance initiatives. Your expertise in preparing financial models will be crucial in evaluating project feasibility and investment opportunities. Collaborating with operational and finance teams, you will prepare and maintain budgets while monitoring project performance. Your ability to facilitate due diligence processes will be key as you liaise with both internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, your negotiation skills will be put to good use as you interact with lenders, legal counsel, and other external parties.
- Support the Group CFO and participate in strategic, corporate development and corporate finance initiatives
- Prepare and review financial models to evaluate cashflow, returns and other financials, and assess the feasibility of the project and its associated investments
- Work together with the operational and finance teams on preparing and maintaining the relevant budgets
- Monitor and track the operational and financial performance of projects
- Facilitate due diligence processes by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in negotiations with lenders, legal counsel, and external parties to support corporate finance efforts.
- Maintain relationships with corporate advisors (investment banks, consultants), regulatory bodies, and partners.
What you bring:
The ideal Corporate Finance Manager will bring a wealth of knowledge from previous roles within investments, corporate finance, corporate development or strategy. With at least 3-15 years of relevant experience under your belt, you are well-versed in navigating complex financial landscapes. Your educational background in Finance or a related field equips you with the necessary analytical skills for this role. An additional professional qualification or an MBA would further enhance your candidacy. Lastly, your ability to read documents written in Chinese will be beneficial.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science or a numerical centric discipline
- Professional qualification in the relevant field or an MBA would be advantageous
- 3 to 15 years of relevant working experience focusing on investments, corporate finance, corporate development and strategy
- Ability to read documents written in Chinese
