What you'll do:


As a Business Continuity Management Specialist based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be instrumental in supporting the Group Chief Risk Officer and functional supervisors with the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the organisation’s business continuity framework. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with various business units as you coordinate workshops, analyse data, develop tailored plans, and facilitate awareness sessions. Success in this role requires you to be highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to communicate complex information clearly while building strong relationships across teams. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the organisation’s resilience strategy by driving improvements in processes, supporting crisis simulation exercises, and ensuring that all documentation meets rigorous standards. Your efforts will help foster a culture of preparedness that protects both people and assets while enabling continued growth.


* Conduct thorough research on industry best practices and propose enhancements to existing business continuity management processes and templates to ensure alignment with current standards.
* Incorporate approved changes into the group-wide business continuity management framework by collaborating with key stakeholders across multiple subsidiaries.
* Coordinate with Business Units’ Business Continuity Officers to schedule Business Impact Analysis workshops, including preparation through background research and logistical arrangements.
* Analyse and consolidate insights gathered from workshops for integration into Business Impact Analysis reports and Business Continuity Plans, followed by stakeholder sign-off.
* Develop comprehensive Business Continuity Plans and Crisis Management Plans tailored to individual business units, ensuring preparedness for potential disruptions.
* Collaborate closely with Business Continuity Officers and Leaders to ensure timely updates of all relevant documentation including BIAs, BCPs, and CMPs.
* Perform first-level reviews of submitted business continuity documentation from operating companies to assess compliance with organisational standards and readiness for implementation.
* Research potential test scenarios and assist in coordinating periodic testing exercises such as crisis simulations to validate the effectiveness of plans.
* Prepare materials and support the delivery of awareness sessions aimed at promoting a resilient culture throughout the organisation and its subsidiaries.
* Partner with relevant stakeholders in compiling periodic reports for review by senior management prior to submission to steering committees or the board.

* At least two years of relevant working experience in business continuity management or related fields within large or complex organisations is preferred.
