Cost Controller

What you'll do:

As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for monitoring key financial indicators such as operating expenses and capital investments while supporting the accuracy of production data throughout the monthly closing process.

• Analyse operating costs (OPEX) and investments (CAPEX) to provide insightful recommendations that enhance operational efficiency across the plant.
• Support the detailed analysis and control of Bills of Materials (BOMs), production cycle times, methods, and conduct variance analysis compared to actual results.
• Monitor production data including Work Orders, consumption rates, work centres, and other key metrics to ensure accurate monthly industrial closing processes.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets as well as intra-year forecasts by gathering relevant data and providing thorough financial analysis.
• Contribute to monthly reporting activities by performing variance analysis between budget/forecast figures and actuals, identifying root causes for any deviations.
• Collaborate in developing and defining standard costing processes that align with industry best practices and organisational goals.
• Oversee monthly inventory levels through periodic control activities, develop comprehensive reports related to warehouse stock valuation, analyse obsolete inventory, and determine appropriate stock valuation funds.

What you bring:

Your background as a Cost Controller should reflect substantial hands-on experience within manufacturing environments where cost analysis played a central role. You bring not only technical expertise in SAP systems but also advanced capabilities in utilising Excel and Business Intelligence tools for complex data interpretation.

• Demonstrated experience using SAP modules including FI (Financial Accounting), CO (Controlling), PP (Production Planning), and MM (Materials Management) within a manufacturing context.
• A Master’s degree or specialist qualification in economics or management engineering from a recognised institution is highly desirable.
• At least three years’ proven experience working within medium or large manufacturing companies where cost control was a significant responsibility.
• Comprehensive understanding of management control methodologies tailored specifically for industrial organisations.
• Excellent command of English language skills enabling effective communication across multicultural teams.
