Business Controller (Hybrid)

An exciting Business Controller (Hybrid) job has just become available at one of the engineering MNCs based in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting to the Regional Finance Manager, you will be a part of the dynamic team.

About the Business Controller (Hybrid) Role:
In this position, you will be in charge of annual budget and half-yearly forecast, reconciliations, cost control, monthly financial analysis (including customer margin analysis) and reporting on areas covered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be the controller for the services segment
• Work closely with the Business Unit Manager and Management Team to achieve the KPIs and assist in growing the business in the framework of group strategy
• Work with Regional Finance Manager to help cover controlling roles in the region
• Take charge of annual budget and half-yearly forecast, reconciliations, cost control, monthly financial analysis (including customer margin analysis) and reporting on areas covered
• Be responsible for monthly closing of portfolios in compliance with the group policies and accounting principles (IFRS)
• Ensure internal control compliance

To succeed in this Business Controller (Hybrid) role, you will need to have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
• IFRS and local taxation knowledge
• Good analytical approach, accurate and able to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Able to produce relevant KPIs and work closely with business unit managers
• Strong business acumen
• Motivated by business understanding, business support and international environment
• Sensitivity in compliance to internal control requirements and local mandatory tax requirements
