Business Analyst, Controlling (three headcounts)

An exciting Business Analyst, Controlling (three headcounts) job has just become available at one of the pharmaceutical MNCs based in Petaling Jaya. Reporting to the Controlling Manager, you will be a part of the dynamic team.

About the Business Analyst, Controlling (three headcounts) Role:
In this position, you will collaborate with your teammates to perform financial, control and accounting processes, as well as working on external regulatory submissions working closely with the business on a regular basis, and to develop and improve those same processes over time.

Key responsibilities:

• Be responsible for month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial information to stakeholders. Ensure strong control environment across the region
• Ensure a healthy position of balance sheet is a priority. Business partner with marketing company and GFS (Global Finance Services)
• Support cash generation initiatives. Direct and indirect taxes - support MC and tax consultants by providing financial information required to align with local tax requirements liabilities
• Transfer pricing - provide accurate information regarding New TP and Annual Revisions
• Statutory reporting - work with external partner to ensure timely and accurate submission of local statutory reporting to relevant authorities
• Assist in better business decisions by provision of financial expertise and insightful analysis to all ad hoc queries in line with SLA
• Ensure corporate governance standards are met, taking accountability for effective operation of relevant financial reporting controls
• Identify opportunities for standardisation and simplification across the process area on a continual basis

To succeed in this Business Analyst, Controlling (three headcounts) role, you will need to have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or equivalent, with a minimum of five to six years in general accounting/controlling/tax experience
• Auditors are welcome to apply
• English language proficiency, both verbal and written, with the confidence to express clear opinions and ability to explain financial issues to non-financial management
• Experience in change management and building engagement
• Ability to work well in and across diverse global teams
