Senior Billing Specialist (3-6 Months Contract)

A leading organisation in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Senior Billing Specialist to join their team and play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate invoicing and financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients. This position offers you the opportunity to utilise your expertise in billing processes, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills to foster positive client relationships and support business operations across multiple service lines.

Your job scope includes :

  • Support the implementation of DAX365 across different markets by coordinating billing processes and ensuring system integration aligns with organisational standards.
  • Manage all aspects of invoicing for clients, including preparing, validating, and submitting invoices via email or client portals in accordance with agreed turnaround times.
  • Coordinate both client-facing and internal billing activities, ensuring seamless communication between departments and timely resolution of any queries or discrepancies.
  • Review contracts to evaluate financial terms and ensure that billing practices are consistent with agreed-upon conditions, maintaining compliance throughout the process.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for managed clients regarding all billing matters, fostering trustworthy relationships with local offices and other group functions.
  • Validate invoices prior to approval where applicable, ensuring accuracy before submission to clients and adherence to quality standards.
  • Communicate billing-related information clearly to all stakeholders as required, providing updates on invoice status, payment schedules, or changes in procedures.
  • Conduct debtor coordination activities by following up on outstanding payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting revenue collection efforts.
  • Perform revenue reconciliation tasks regularly to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date for reporting purposes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve billing processes, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance overall efficiency.

Experience & Skillset :

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in similar roles involving complex billing processes within a corporate environment.
  • Proficient written and verbal English language skills (B2 level) enabling clear communication with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and act in a trustworthy manner when handling sensitive financial information.
  • Exceptional organisational skills allowing you to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • Advanced command of Microsoft Office tools including Excel and Word for data analysis, reporting, and documentation purposes.
  • Exposure to Microsoft D365 systems which will enable you to support implementation projects effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while remaining responsive under pressure during peak periods or when resolving issues.
  • Strong problem analysis capabilities paired with effective problem-solving skills that contribute positively to team outcomes.
