What you'll do:

As a Senior Finance Executive based in Petaling Jaya, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the finance department’s day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include managing month-end closings using SAP software, preparing detailed management reports, assisting with consolidated financial statements, and continuously improving reporting methodologies. You will collaborate closely with subsidiary teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards while providing valuable insights for board papers and proposals. Your attention to detail will be essential when handling tax-related matters, reconciling transactions, and supporting both internal and external audits. Success in this role requires a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, reliability, and teamwork within a dynamic office environment.

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated division financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously review and identify areas for improvement in methodology and templates used for monthly reporting to head office, contributing to process optimisation.
  • Review subsidiaries’ monthly management reports to identify deficiencies or non-compliance with MFRS/IAS standards, communicate findings to subsidiary financial controllers, and follow up on corrections.
  • Support the preparation of board papers and proposals by providing relevant inputs for division subsidiaries.
  • Uphold application of financial reporting standards, internal controls, best practices, and standard operating procedures within the division finance department.
  • Observe limits of authority when reviewing and commenting on various proposals from subsidiary companies related to finance and operations matters.
  • Assist in preparing annual transfer pricing documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Handle extraction and supply of information required for tax computation, tax estimates, tax revisions, as well as other tax matters including audits.
  • Review monthly inter-company and third-party transaction reconciliations to maintain accurate records across divisions.
  • Provide support during annual external audit processes as well as internal audit activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist head office group finance with information required for year-end audit, group financial reporting, corporate functions, and other ad hoc group-level matters.

You are known for your analytical approach when interpreting financial data as well as your ability to provide actionable insights that benefit both your immediate team members and wider business units. Your interpersonal skills foster collaboration across departments while your organisational abilities ensure that all tasks are completed accurately within set timelines. You have demonstrated reliability during audits—both internal and external—and possess clear communication skills that help maintain transparency throughout all levels of the organisation.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent qualification is required for this position.
