You will be collaborating with procurement and finance teams to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions. Your expertise will be crucial in preparing and presenting cost reports, forecasts, and analysis to senior management.

What you'll do:

As a Cost Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health of the organisation. Your primary responsibility will be to keep a close eye on the company's expenses across various departments. You will delve into financial data, identifying trends, spotting variances, and uncovering inefficiencies. Your keen insights will guide the development of effective cost control measures that optimise spending and enhance budget management. Collaborating closely with procurement and finance teams, you'll ensure purchasing decisions are made with cost-effectiveness in mind. Your expertise will shine as you prepare detailed cost reports, forecasts, and analyses for presentation to senior management. Regular audits of expenses will fall under your purview, along with recommending corrective actions where necessary. Furthermore, you'll assist in budgeting and financial planning by providing accurate cost estimates.

You have proven experience in cost control or financial analysis roles where your analytical skills were put to good use. Your attention to detail is second-to-none which aids your problem-solving abilities when it comes to identifying inefficiencies or discrepancies. A solid understanding of cost accounting principles is essential for this role as well as knowledge of financial reporting.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
  • Proven experience in cost control, financial analysis or a similar role
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial reporting
