An exciting Senior Business Analyst (FP&A) job has just become available at one of the MNCs based in Selangor.
About the Senior Business Analyst (FP&A) Role: In this position, you will provide financial support and analysis in driving the retail operation financial performance and objective.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis: Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to support decision making processes. This includes analysing financial data, identifying trends and providing insights to key stakeholders
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecast. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment with business plans
Business Performance Evaluation: Assess and evaluate business performance, identifying areas of opportunity and risk. Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to provide insights and make recommendations for improvements
Financial Planning and Strategy: Assist in the development and implementation of financial plans and strategies. Contribute to the creation of models and scenarios to support business decision making process
Month-end Closing and Financial Reporting: Oversee periodic closing process relating to retail operation. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, variance analysis and ad hoc reports (as required). Present findings to key stakeholders in clear and concise manner
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments across the organisation to understand their needs and provide required support
Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to the implementation of more efficient and effective ways of workings
Team Management: Provide guidance and support to other junior team members
To succeed in this Senior Business Analyst (FP&A) role, you must possess good critical-thinking skills to gather all of the available data and make informed decisions.
Key Requirements:
Minimum of a diploma/degree in Accounting/Finance, preferably with professional accounting qualification (MIA/MICPA/ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA)
At least four years’ experience in related field and experience in Big 4 or medium tier audit firm with experience in managing team is an added advantage
Experience in retail industry is an added advantage
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amount of information
Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Detailed oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Computer literate
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands on management capacity
