RTR Accountant (hybrid)

An exciting RTR Accountant (hybrid) job has just become available at one of the new SSC based in Petaling Jaya. Reporting to the RTR Tower Lead, you will be a part of the dynamic team.

About the RTR Accountant (hybrid) Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for performing the accounting processes for their respective countries by working closely with the Country Operations, Country Finance, Controlling and Shared services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accounting processes in scope for the respective country and/or region like month end, reconciliations, fixed assets accounting, etc.
• Regular engagement with country teams and shared services on inputs and outputs for the completion of common processes
• Focus on building deep business knowledge for the countries in scope to facilitate judgemental decisions
• Manage updates and maintenance of the period end and year end closing schedules for the countries in scope
• Manages cash flow, working capital requirements and bank relationships
• Perform review and reconciliation of the balance sheet and bank accounts on a periodic basis producing appropriate working papers and other supporting documentation
• Provide regular updates to the Senior accountant on process completion and any escalations
• Deliver the processes in scope to the agreed KPI requirements and support performance management
• Support the continuous improvement agenda by providing documented suggestions on how quality and efficiency might be improved

To succeed in the RTR Accountant (hybrid) role, you will need to have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements in relation to accounting standards (IFRS) and local GAAPs in scope
• Experience of using Oracle Cloud
• Experience of performing accounting in a logistics or similar industry
• Ability to learn and use new financial tools and reporting systems
• Ability to communicate to finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Three to four years' post qualification experience
