This client is seeking a Finance Officer to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a world-leading logistics service provider, supporting the Asia-Pacific region. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that services are billed accurately and on time, and that incoming invoices are properly processed. You'll have the chance to work in a multicultural environment, collaborating with global forwarders and other stakeholders.

What you'll do:

As a Finance Officer, your role will be integral in maintaining the financial health of the organisation. You will be responsible for ensuring that all services performed are billed accurately and on time, while also managing incoming invoices. Your keen attention to detail will be crucial in checking, processing, and booking these invoices into our systems. You will also play a key role in supporting financial reporting and analysis, as well as monitoring job profitability. Your commitment to adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements will ensure smooth operations within the finance department.

  • Ensure timely and accurate billing of services performed to customers.
  • Check, process, and book incoming invoices into the system.
  • Support the department head in overseeing both Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP).
  • Prepare and submit invoices to customers.
  • Handle Account Receivable (AR) and Account Payable (AP).
  • Support financial reporting and analysis.
  • Monitor job profitability and margins on job/file level through reports.
  • Ensure all billing activities adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide updates/reviews of SOPs to the department head and support in improving them.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports for management.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Officer position brings a wealth of experience in finance, accounting, or billing. With your Bachelor's degree in a related field, you have developed strong knowledge of billing procedures, invoicing, and payment processing. Your 2-3 years of experience have honed your ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Your excellent attention to detail complements your strong analytical abilities perfectly. Proficiency in common applications such as Microsoft Office is required; experience with SAP is a plus. Your effective communication skills in English will be crucial in this role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, billing, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of billing procedures, invoicing, and payment processing.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in common applications e.g. Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
