Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join their dynamic team in Penang.

What you'll do:
As an Accounts Payable Manager, your role will be pivotal in shaping the financial landscape of the organisation. You will supervise functional financial accounting activities, ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant regulations. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying risks or frauds, proposing mitigation strategies through proper controls and solutions. You will also take the lead in driving process improvements, automation, and standardisation initiatives. Furthermore, you will engage proactively with stakeholders, resolving challenges, recommending solutions, and fostering a cooperative work environment.
- Supervise functional financial accounting activities mainly on Accounts Payable including reviewing journal entries and reporting
- Ensure effective internal controls are in place and compliance with GAAP, IFRS and applicable international and local regulatory laws for financial and tax reporting
- Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements
- Identify risks/fraud and mitigate with proper controls and solutions
- Lead process improvement, automation, and standardisation projects
- Engage proactively with stakeholders to resolve challenges and recommend solutions
- Coach and mentor team members
