Our client, a top player in the automotive industry with a network of more than 10 outlets across Malaysia, is seeking an Executive for their Accounts Payable department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a well-established multinational corporation, where you will be responsible for managing accounts payable operations, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and group policies, and driving process improvements within the Finance Operations function. The position is based in Petaling Jaya and offers a competitive salary range of RM48,000 to RM72,000.

What you'll do:
As an Executive in Accounts Payable, your role will be pivotal in managing the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable function. You will be responsible for ensuring that all financial transactions are accurately recorded and processed in accordance with established accounting principles and company policies. Your excellent attention to detail will be crucial in validating documents before month-end closing or any stipulated deadlines. You will also play a key role in maintaining good relationships with all approved payables, ensuring invoices are paid within credit terms. Your commitment to continuous improvement will drive you to suggest modifications to processes and implement relevant system functionality within the Finance Operations function.
* Manage Accounts Payable operations and petty cash reimbursement
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, internal controls and group policy
* Validate and process all documents before month-end closing or stipulated deadline
* Monitor accrual amounts regularly and maintain good relationships with all approved payables
* Work closely with Northern and Perak Finance Operation team to ensure completeness of inter-company transactions
* Participate in the development of process improvement in Finance and uphold modernization of finance skillsets
* Maintain strong compliance of control procedures; i.e. LOA in carrying out daily tasks.
* Ensure timely preparation of the audit and tax schedules.

As an ideal candidate for this Executive, Accounts Payable role, you bring along a wealth of experience from your past roles in finance. Your strong background in internal controls coupled with your industry knowledge makes you adept at implementing best practices for finance operations. Your excellent command of English, both written and verbal, enables you to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation. Your proven ability to grow a team and implement transformation shows your adaptability to new technologies. Your excellent time-management skills allow you to manage tasks in a systematic manner, while your great interpersonal and communication skills enable you to handle challenging discussions diplomatically.
* Minimum 2 years finance experience in a progressively growing capacity
* Diploma/Degree (any level), preferably in finance, and/or Accounting qualification (any type)
* Strong internal controls background, industry knowledge of best practice for finance operations
* Strong command of written and verbal English
* Proven ability to grow a team and implement transformation with adaptability to new technologies
* Excellent time-management skills with systematic task management
* Great interpersonal and communication skills to handle challenging discussion diplomatically
