Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to join their team in Penang island (Georgetown area).

What you'll do:

As an Accounts Payable Analyst, your primary responsibility will be managing the accounts payable function within the organisation. You will process invoices accurately and promptly, follow up with vendors and the internal team to resolve any discrepancies, and respond to any related inquiries. Your role will also involve performing various month and quarter-end close activities as assigned. You will execute payments in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and controls. Additionally, you will support Accounts Receivable receipt application, liaise with field purchasing team members, and work with vendors and customers on reconciliations.

  • Process invoices timely and accurately
  • Follow up with vendors and internal team to resolve discrepancies
  • Respond to Accounts Payable related inquiries from internal team and external vendors
  • Perform various month and quarter-end close activities as assigned
  • Execute payments on a timely manner and accurately in compliance with company policies, procedures, and controls
  • Support Accounts Receivable receipt application
  • Liaise with Field purchasing team members to resolve discrepancies
  • Work with vendors and customers on reconciliations

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Accounts Payable Analyst position brings a wealth of experience in similar roles. You are proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer systems, enabling you to execute tasks efficiently. Your excellent customer service skills allow you to interact effectively with both internal teams and external vendors. You have a strong understanding of policies, procedures, and best practices which guide your work. A willingness to learn new skills and improve existing ones is key in this role. You are comfortable working under the general direction of a more seasoned team member.

  • Experience in Accounts Payable or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer systems
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to adhere to policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Willingness to learn new skills and improve existing ones
  • Ability to work under general direction of a more seasoned team member
