An exciting Accounts Payable Assistant Manager job has just become available at one of the leading retail companies in Malaysia. This company is looking for an individual with six to seven years of experience in managing intercompany transactions, regional payments and cash flow management.

About the AP Assistant Manager Role:
This individual will play a crucial role in overseeing the accounts payable processes while specialising in regional payments for Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Spain, and Turkey. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of cash flow management and be skilled in creating compelling presentations to support financial reporting

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and support the accounts payable team to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Implement efficient payment processes and maintain proper documentation for audit purposes
• Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to resolve payment-related issue
• Manage payments for the company's operations in Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Cambodia, Vietnam, Spain, and Turkey
• Stay updated on regional payment regulations, tax requirements, and banking practices to ensure compliance and minimise risks
• Build strong relationships with local banks and financial institutions to facilitate smooth payment processing
• Conduct periodic reviews to optimise payment processes and reduce transaction costs
• Monitor cash flow on a regular basis and forecast future cash needs
• Implement strategies to improve cash flow efficiency and minimise working capital requirements
• Collaborate with the finance team to develop cash flow reports and provide recommendations to senior management

To succeed in this AP Assistant Manager role, you must have in-depth knowledge on the accounts payable functions, ability to manage cash flow efficiently and adopt a positive mindset.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
• Proven experience in accounts payable management and regional payment processing for the specified countries
• Strong understanding of cash flow management principles and practices
• Proficiency in creating compelling financial presentations using tools like Microsoft PowerPoint
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Familiarity with regional payment regulations, tax laws, and banking systems
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
