One of the largest Foreign Bank in Malaysia is looking for a senior trade sales person to be based in Kuala Lumpur. This exciting role will be part of the Bank's regional Asean initiative to develop and further penetrate trade businesses in Asia. He/She will assumes primary responsibility for originating trade opportunities in Malaysia, developing and delivering innovative solutions to grow market share for the Group’s trade businesses.
Job Responsibilities:
• Identify large trade cross border and domestic flows and projects that are being executed in Malaysia and intermediate them by deploying financing structures
• Develop market strategy through industry and customer needs analysis
• Uptier marketing pitches and sales dialogues with large corporate clients especially on working capital financing proposition
• Drive delivery of new solutions in a timely manner;
• Work with regional/global partners to execute on end-to-end network and structured trade solutions for clients;
• Ensure that sales and relationship managers are trained, and ready to identify client needs, propose solutions;
• Manage product risk and control – documentation, credit, legal and regulatory risk assessments
• Manage transactional P&L through business drivers, profitability ratios
• Prepares marketing collateral; drives sales activity
Key Requirements:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a business or related discipline
• Minimum of 8 years of related work experience
• Knowledge of trade finance including letters of credit and open account trade practices
• Ability to review commercial contracts for risk analysis
• Corporate credit assessment experience including balance sheet analysis
• Structuring of customised trade solutions
• Ability to identify product gaps and structure solutions
• Adept at sizing up situations, analyzing facts, and developing alternative courses of action
• Able to drive implementation of plans; meticulous and able to set effective priorities to achieve both immediate and long-term goals
• Leadership qualities in cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders in-country and cross-border
• Adaptable to new concepts and responsibilities
• Self-motivated; work proficiently in teams
