Position: AVP, Trade Operations
This is a market leading global banking group, is currently looking to recruit an experienced trade operations professional for the position of AVP Trade Operations leading their Malaysia Trade Services team.
Responsibilities:
lead over 60 staff in providing daily trade, import and export, operational support
motivate and develop team members to consistently meet business objectives, PLAs and provide opportunities to maximize potential
review the process and identify improvements to enhance operational and financial effectiveness
interact with the business partners to suggest changes to the existing trade operations workflow
communicate effectively with peers in terms of best practice sharing to ensure the optimum use of resource is made and that a robust cross training is in place to multi skill the operations team
monitor and control on operational losses, potential fraud through strong internal audit and staff feedback mechanisms
Requirements:
at least 10 to 15 years of work experience within Trade Services Operations
in depth knowledge of Trade facilities, Documentary Credit, Collection, Bank Guarantees, bill/invoice discounting, sound knowledge in Treasury etc
strong understanding of ICC guidelines like UCP600, URC525, URR725, ISP98, ISBP
exposure to change management, strategy & planning, stakeholder management is preferable
ability to assimilate a large amount of information and make effective decisions on a wide range of issues.
excellent people management skills, including team and project management
